George Reed Inc. has been awarded two prestigious 2025 American Public Works Association (APWA) Project of the Year Awards, recognizing the company's commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality public works projects that enhance community safety and sustainability.

C Street Enhancements Project – City of Galt

The first award recognizes the C Street Enhancements Project in Galt, California, completed in partnership with the City of Galt Department of Public Works, Psomas, and Salaber Associates under Kjeldsen, Sinnock & Neudeck, Inc. This transformative project revitalized a major gateway to downtown Galt, introducing ADA-compliant sidewalks, protected bike lanes, enhanced landscaping, decorative lighting, improved drainage systems, and safer pedestrian crossings that have significantly improved both accessibility and community connectivity.

Valley Springs School Safety Improvement Project – Calaveras County

The second award honors the Valley Springs School Safety Improvement Project in Calaveras County, delivered in collaboration with the Calaveras County Department of Public Works, Dokken Engineering, and Consor Engineering. This critical safety initiative focused specifically on protecting child pedestrians through the installation of new sidewalks, curb ramps, enhanced crosswalk features, traffic calming elements, and comprehensive drainage upgrades.
